The Gulf Greyhound Park is hosting its 5th annual Magical Winter Lights Festival, which will be active from November 15th all the way to January 5th. It’s a fantastic spectacle that features the largest collection of Chinese lanterns in the United States, and it’s a beautiful mixture of many world cultures under one magnanimous holiday banner. There are eight displays to explore, each with their own unique theme, and each one is no less impressive than the other. You can also watch live performances from talented artists and musicians, such as the Chinese acrobat show during the evenings; or you can enjoy special activities like winter themed arts and crafts, pictures with Santa Claus or Anna and Elsa from Disney’s Frozen, and multiple carnival rides and games. The park is a lengthy drive away from our luxury apartments, but it’s well worth the effort to make a visit.
