All the way through January 27th, 2019, the Discovery Green in downtown Houston will host its annual ICE outdoor ice rink, perfect for capturing that winter escapism even when the weather proves too warm and calm compared to the north. It’s located no more than twelve miles away from our luxury apartments, meaning you can drive there in twenty to fifty minutes depending on traffic, or – if you want to save yourself from rush hour and gas expenses – you can take the bus and rails there in about an hour. Glide around the pristine artificial ice from 5-10pm on weekdays, 11am-11pm on Saturdays and school holidays, and Sundays from 11am-8pm. Bring your own skates or rent some for use at the track. Tickets are $11 for admission and $4 for skate rentals, though Cheap Skate nights bring the price down to $15 for 2 or $8 for 1.
